Explosion injures eight at industrial site in Damascus countryside

Eight people were injured on Wednesday evening when an explosion struck an industrial complex in the town of al-Sabina, near Al-Matahin in the Damascus countryside.
Preliminary information obtained by Shafaq News indicates that the explosion occurred inside an oxygen cylinder filling plant.
The Syrian Civil Defense noted in a post on X that the blast occurred in an area housing mills, grain silos, and warehouses. Seven of the injured were evacuated by civilians, while emergency teams rescued another person trapped under debris.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the blast, as the scale of material damage has not yet been fully determined.
