President Barzani and Macron call for de-escalation in Middle East

Kurdish President Nechirvan Barzani and French President Emmanuel Macron voiced concerns over escalating tensions, stressing the importance of preserving peace and stability, the presidency said on Tuesday.
According to a statement, the two sides discussed in a phone call the latest developments in the Middle East, pointing to the importance of enhancing international efforts to de-escalate the situation.

Earlier today, Barzani called for stronger regional coordination during a phone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
