Kurdish security forces on Wednesday intercepted a drone over a military facility in Iraqi Kurdistan’s Al-Sulaymaniyah province, with no casualties.
In a statement, the Kurdistan Region Security Agency said the unmanned aerial vehicle was brought down at 9:00 a.m. local time while flying over the headquarters of Unit 70 forces.
Security units remain on high alert and have taken precautionary measures to maintain stability in the area.
Authorities are investigating the incident, with no details disclosed on those responsible.
