Yemen’s internationally recognized government forces claimed on Wednesday to have “neutralized” around 1,250 Houthi fighters and destroyed or damaged more than 460 military vehicles and pieces of equipment during Operation Dawn of Yemen, launched on October 5.

The military spokesperson reported 2,309 attacks across several fronts using warplanes, drones, artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units, targeting Houthi defensive positions, command centers, reinforcements, and supply routes. Government forces also reported continuing airstrikes and ambushes against Houthi positions and reinforcements in Taiz province.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s government-run Saba news agency reported that a woman was killed and her daughter and two sisters were wounded when a landmine allegedly planted by Houthi forces exploded in a field in Bani Amer village, southern Taiz.

Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah television, separately, reported that Saudi fire wounded four people, including two African migrants, in border districts of Saada province. The Houthi-run Health Ministry said Saudi artillery shelling killed a man and wounded his wife in Taiz’s Hayfan district, while a Saudi airstrike killed a woman and wounded four others in Al-Shamayatayn district.

In Saudi Arabia, Civil Defense authorities said falling debris from an intercepted ballistic missile injured an Arab expatriate in Riyadh and caused limited damage to a house and vehicle.

Earlier today, Houthi forces claimed to have launched ballistic and cruise missiles and drones at Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran and Riyadh and King Khalid International Airport, describing the operation as retaliation for Saudi attacks on Sanaa and other Houthi-controlled areas.
