International organizations in Diyala still working

Shafaq News / The Al Noor Universal Foundation confirmed that international organizations are still practicing their humanitarian tasks in Diyala Governorate despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his speech, Executive Director of the Foundation, Ahmed Jassam, told Shafaq News agency, that the Health crisis did not affect the presence and work of international organizations in the governorate because it was originally established to confront crises and provide support and aid to humanity, noting that six organizations, most notably International Organization for Migration, und and Oxfam, expanded their work by opening new offices.

"Despite the health, there were no indications of withdrawals of international organizations from the Diyala," he added.

It is noteworthy that international humanitarian organizations have implemented many services and social projects and programs in Diyala since the fall of the former regime in 2003 until now.
