A blocked road in Diyala

Shafaq News / Angry demonstrators have blocked today Baqubah-Balad Ruz road in the east of Diyala governorate protesting against the quality of the services.

Mohamad Salam, a protestor, said to Shafaq news agency that “The people of Dor Mandali are blocking Baqubah-Balad Ruz road to protest against the quality of water and electricity since days. This is being ignored for the second time this week”. 

Adding that the protestors will build a sit-in tent until their needs will be satisfied, promising to take more firm measures if they will be ignored. 

Dor Mandali is a town populated by deported Kurds expelled by the old regime from Mandali for demographic reasons.
