Baghdad probes US flag ‘Sovereignty Days’ incident

Iraq's Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the country's armed forces Ali al-Zaidi ordered an investigation into an incident involving the US flag during a parade marking “Sovereignty Days,” Sabah al-Numaan, the premier's spokesperson, said on Sunday.
Al-Zaidi condemned the incident, stressing the need to respect Iraqi laws and diplomatic norms and vowing legal action against those responsible.
