Karbala police reveals the fact of a protester killed three days after being kidnapped

Shafaq News / Karbala Police Command announced that the victim, "Firas Owaid Hassan" was killed in al- Hussein district after the intelligence detachments investigated the presence of the body of a citizen inside the trunk of his car.

It was spread on social media that the dead man was kidnapped for three days after leaving the demonstrations.

"The provincial police chief, Major General Ahmed Ali Zwaini, ordered the formation of a team of competent officers to find out the circumstances of this incident," Karbala police command said in a statement.

"This news is false and baseless, as the incident was 100 % criminal, according to preliminary investigations by the security forces," the statement said.
