Shafaq News / Kata’ib Hezbollah threatened, on Wednesday, to resist the "occupying Turkish forces," noting that Ankara "underestimates" Iraq.

The brigades said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, "the attacks of foreign forces against Iraq are still continuing, and were not affected by condemnations, not even official or popular positions, and this is a clear evidence of the disregard of the Iraqi government and people."

It added, "Turkey's aggression and occupation of parts of our territory is the result of weak government positions and the complicity of some local parties that are destroying the Iraqi state."

Hezbollah’s statement continued, "While we condemn the Turkish aggression that targeted the border guards, we affirm the right of the Iraqi people to resist any foreign presence that threatens the security of the country or is considered an occupation of the homeland, and this right is the same on which we resist the American occupation for."

Today, Wednesday, Iraq sent military reinforcements to deploy on the Turkish border, a day after two officers were killed during a Turkish drone attack in Kurdistan.
