Shafaq News – Ankara
Turkiye exported $1.4 billion worth of grains and pulses to Iraq during the first ten months of this year, topping the list of countries importing Turkish food products, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) said on Tuesday.
According to TIM, the United States ranked second, accounting for 42.7% of total exports, while other major importers included Libya, Algeria, and Germany. Chocolate and cocoa products led the sector with exports valued at $1.1 billion, followed by sunflower products, which rose 15.7% to $865.4 million.
The sector’s export volume fell by 5.3% compared with the same period last year, but a 10.2% increase in export unit prices lifted total export value by 4.3%.
