Shafaq News / the FWA footballer of the year results revealed on Friday that the Liverpool’s top scorer, Mohamed Salah failed to get any votes.

In return, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been named the 2020 Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association votes.

However, Five Liverpool players obtained votes, including Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Sadio Mane, and Virgil van Dijk.

While, fifteen Premier League players got votes, including Wolver Hampton Wanderers player Adama Traoré, and Southampton's top scorer Danny Ings.

Salah is the fourth in the league's top scorer, with 19 goals, but his performance has decreased comparing to his first two seasons in Liverpool.

It is noteworthy that Salah won the award with the majority of votes in 2018. That year, shined in his first season with the "Reds" scoring 32 goals.
