Jaafari , al-Maliki and Hakim agree to continue military operations in western Iraq

the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council Ammar al –Hakim have agreed on the continuity of the ongoing military operations in western Iraq to hunt down the armed groups .

According to a statement from Jaafari's office received by "Shafaq News", the latter received Hakim and they discussed the latest development of security and political situation in the country. "

According to the statement , the two sides stressed the need for continued military operations to end the presence of terrorist organizations and strengthen the role of intelligence ; to extend security and preserve democracy and political experience .

The statement added that the two sides called to the importance of active participation in the elections and taking into account the efficient personalities which have electoral programs and development plans that improves the Iraqi reality to what it should be.

In a related development , the statement said that al-Jaafari met with al-Maliki and they discussed developments in the security situation , the readiness of the security forces to hit the dens of terrorism ; in order to save the lives of citizens in the country and apply the system.

Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki and in an attempt to end the crisis in Anbar after resolving sit-in Square of Sunni protesters, called last week the army to withdraw from the cities , but returned and reversed his decision one day after announcing that he will send additional troops to the province after the entry of " State Islamic in Iraq and the Levant " to Fallujah , Ramadi and other cities .

Anbar province ( 110 km to the west of Iraq) dominated by Sunnis share border with Syria in about 300 km , one of the most important strongholds of armed groups linked to al-Qaeda in the years preceding 2008, when the " Awakening " forces loyal to the government spread and controlled the province and neighboring provinces .
