Covid-19: More than 140 thousand cases in Iraq

Shafaq News / Iraq registered, on Thursday, more than 3000 new cases and of Covid-19, as well as about 2500 recoveries and 76 fatalities in the past 24 hours.

The Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment said in a statement that, 16591 tests were performed today, in which the total becomes 1.092.741

The newly recovery cases 2583 were distributed as follows:

Baghdad / Al-Rusafa 320, Baghdad / Al-Karkh 328, Medical City 59, Najaf 164, Al-Sulaymaniyah 57, Erbil 74, Duhok 29,  Karbala 255, Kirkuk 42, Diyala 112, Wasit 190, Babel 171, Basra 176, Maysan 52, Al-Diwaniyah 56, Dhi Qar 60, Al-Anbar 24,Al-Muthanna 121, Saladin 205, and Nineveh 88 .

The statement indicated that the cases that are diagnosed amounted to 3047 cases, distributed as follows:

Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 299, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 310,Medica city 50,  Najaf 290, Al-Sulaymaniyah 85, Erbil 218, Duhok 101, Kirkuk 211, Karbala 244, Diyala 103, Wasit 74,  Basra 273, Maysan 96, Babel 194, Dhi Qar 67, Al-Diwaniyah 93, Al-Anbar 43, Al-Muthanna 39, Nineveh 144, and Saladin 113.

While 67 mortality cases were registered, as follows:

Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 7, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 4, Medical city 4,  Najaf 2,  Al-Sulaymaniyah 5, Erbil 6, Karbala 2, Kirkuk 8,  Diyala 2, Basra 9, Maysan 1, Wasit 1, Babel 7, Dhi Qar 1,  Nineveh 2, Muthanna 1, Al-Diwaniyah 1 and Saladin 4.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, the total number of:

·       Confirmed cases: 140603

·       Recoveries 101025 (71.9% of the cases).

·       Inpatients: 34417, which 517 admitted to ICU.

·       Fatalities: 5161.
