Kurdish artist admitted to hospital for Covid-19

Shafaq News / The Kurdish artist and drama actress, Nermin Kawani, had tested positive for COVID-19; as she is admitted to a private hospital in Al-Sulaymaniyah province for treatment.

Shafaq News agency knew from her relatives, that Kawani advised the public to adhere to the preventive measures because if things get out of hand, nothing will work.

Kawani has been in hospital for more than 14 days as doctors have set her to a one-month treatment program. She contracted the virus while she was in a crowded bank in the city of Al-Sulaymaniyah.

Kawani is one of the prominent Kurdish actresses and has played major roles in many important dramas. She is best known for her performance (Sabo) in the series (Arzo = Desire). She chairs the Film Forum in the eyes of women.
