KRG launches labor dialogue forum with ILO support

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) launched a labor dialogue forum on Tuesday with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and European Union funding, a senior KRG official said, calling the initiative a framework to promote decent work and social justice.
At the launch ceremony in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), Labor and Social Affairs Minister Kwestan Mohamad noted that the Kurdistan Social Dialogue Forum brings together the government, workers, and employers to coordinate economic and social policies, review legislation and its implementation, strengthen trade union rights, and advance international labor standards.
