Shafaq News / The Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, received today, Tuesday, an invitation to visit Saudi Arabia from his counterpart in the Kingdom to discuss cooperation between the armies of the two countries.

In a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense said, "The Chief of Staff of the Army Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, received the military attaché of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Iraq," stressing that the two sides discussed ways to develop joint cooperation in military aspects. "

Earlier, The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command in Iraq, Tahsin Al-Khafaji denied about the presence of non-Iraqi forces at Taji base, north of Baghdad.

Al-Khafaji told state media that the reports by some news agencies saying that Saudi soldiers had left the Taji air base were "untrue."

Al-Khafaji explained that the forces present at Taji base are the Iraqi security forces only.
