Iraq’s foreign currency sales near $70B in 2025

Iraq’s Central Bank (CBI) recorded foreign currency sales of $67.27 billion in the first ten months of 2025, up 7.5% from the same period last year.
According to data released by the bank on Thursday, external remittances accounted for $64.97 billion of the total, while cash sales reached $2.3 billion.
The figures compare with sales of $62.58 billion during the corresponding period in 2024.
