Shafaq News / On Monday, Turkey renewed its bombardment of border villages in Zakho,

Duhok governorate, despite the announcement of the Turkish Ministry of Defense of the suspension of its operations.

The director of Bativa, Dilshir Abdul Sattar, told Shafaq News agency that Turkish forces bombed 7 villages of the district,” adding that "48 artillery shells fell in the vicinity of the villages."

The Turkish army announced two days ago the stop of its military operations in Kurdistan, which it says is targeting PKK fighters.

Ankara has bombed intensively the borders of the Region since mid-June, which has caused human and material losses in the border villages within the region.
