SLC reveals secrets behind al- Iraqiya decision after sit-ins failures

“I think that there are people whether religious leaders to issue misguided fatwas or some of the leaders of al- Iraqiya list to escalate the political or military situation and may have begun the implementation of a new agenda after sit-in camps have failed and did not implement its required role ,” the member of SLC, Ali al-Alaq told “Shafaq News”.

"Maybe they have a plan to move people in the provinces and drag them to create clashes and chaos in these areas that would lead to a big strife and isolate areas from the capital Baghdad,” he added.

MPs of SLC and the National Dialogue Front have announced before withdrawing from the Iraqi parliament in a sign of escalating political and security tensions in the country.

The situation has tensed sharply since the arrest of a Sunni MP , Ahmed al-Alwani after a raid on his home last Saturday in Ramadi that resulted in killing his brother and several of his bodyguards .

Fierce battles are taking place between gunmen belonging to al-Qaeda and the Iraqi army forces in Anbar , any official statistics have not been announced yet on the number of victims of both parties.
