Shafaq News / Local officials in Duhok and Nineveh governorates inaugurated a number of service projects in Sheikhan district, east of Duhok.

The media official at Lalish Temple of the Yazidi community, Luqman Suleiman, told Shafaq News agency that the road leading to the Lalish Temple, which is more than a kilometer long, was inaugurated today to facilitate the arrival of visitors and citizens of the region to the temple.

Suleiman indicated that the project cost 760 million dinars.

He pointed out that the "Red Wednesday" ceremonies, which fall on the first Wednesday of April according to the eastern calendar, were canceled due to the current health situation.

However, the new projects that were inaugurated today also include opening the Sheikhan Agriculture Department's new building, two soccer fields, a school, and other roads and water projects.
