After 12 years of prosecution, Abu Khattab is arrested

Shafaq News / The General Security Directorate (GSD) announced, on Friday, the arrest of a terrorist who detonated a car bomb that killed about 150 people.

The directorate said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, with the assistance of the Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior, it carried out an intelligence operation resulted in the arrest of the terrorist Abu Khattab, indicating that this terrorist "is accused of detonating a car bomb in the market of Khan Bani Saad city in 2008, which killed about 150 people. 

It added, "The arrest took place after he was prosecuted from Diyala governorate and captured in the Dora within the capital, Baghdad.

Abu Khattab confessed his crime, and he was referred to the judiciary for punishment.
